Hello. First off, my name is Dustin M. Waibel. I am 6'1", I used to have a fuzzy bald head but now I have a little hair, black goatee, and blue-green eyes. I was born in Santa Clara, CA. I have live in the South Bay Area my entire life, mostly in San Jose. I have one bro, Nate, who is almost 28 and 4" taller than me. He was awesome soccer goalie all through high school, but he's not too shabby with the learning part of school either. He got a business degree and starts medical school in the fall. He lives in Minnesota (seriously, Minnesota?) with his wife Susan.
I'm pretty sports-oriented myself, with a past filled with Little League games (I was the most hit kid in the league when I was 12, the ball didn't like me) and some soccer. My main goal in life used to be becoming a sports broadcaster. Doing the play-by-play for the A's would be too cool. Hell, doing the P.A. announcing would kick ass too. But my life does not just revolve around sports. I have many other interests. Other than my wife Jen and my kid Lucas, I'm also into music, DJ'ing, Web design, and pretty much anything else creative. I finally had to quit my radio job at 98.5 KFOX way back in 1999, because I couldn't handle the bullshit anymore. I'm just glad to have had the experience. I had worked at Xilinx as a Web designer for four years, until we had a "falling out" in March of 2004. Now I'm working as an independent Web designer.
I'm really into No Doubt, as well as many other great bands. You can check out my musical tastes on my music page. When I was in college, I was on the air at 89.3 KOHL, Ohlone's station. Speaking of which, I still need to finish my degree... maybe I should do that!
